This collage is of March 11 and it occupies a somewhat peculiar place in the flood of images, since this is a classic arrangement: two characters and a dog in a landscape, while generally, I prefer the close-up.
But in fact, everything is wrong with this composition and everything works perfectly, however.

For the "mistakes": The woman in the foreground is "dominated" by means of the plan, supporting the idea of the real domination between rich and poor, beautiful and ugly etc. In addition, the bodies are extended in a haphazard way but logical in terms of anatomy, like e.g. stones in the palms of the upper right corner. Some plans are arbitrarily cut. The image is mixing paint (or rather its representation) and advertising photography and reportage: there is confusion of genres.

Regarding the successful: the image functions as such despite the breaks, it's this little miracle that I like in the collage. The shapes fit together like a jigsaw puzzle and the final image finally appears.

It remains to speak a bit of content: addition to the domination of the poor by the rich, I see also an environmental component (yes yes), between blue heaven and dump waste below, as I could see in Bintan, Indonesia where the beaches are polluted to the extreme; an allusion to the misery of the world compared to the beautiful images of fashion magazines that I use for their abundance of human figures; and, with a touch of irony, the use of this figure painted by a famous Swiss painter on behalf of whom my art teacher said, "Go see his exhibition, to see how you should not paint!" It’s taken from a book on this painter which a friend and painter wanted to get rid of which one can see the arabesques in the background of some of my black collages.
It’s a curious image, almost surreal if it did not speak of the world in which I live. And probably of me as well, as I see myself rather below than above in the image, much like Jeremiah contemplating the ruins of Jerusalem. In sum, this composition seems a little sad and ironic, without going into self-compassion (Selbstbemitleidung).
