Since my last article, I have continued to read my "black" books. And I have ordered some more. And I have continued to paste.
One of the strangest collages is the no.49/12 because I immediately felt it as important. Formally, it is closer to the traditional “painting” than others. It shows a nude figure in the foreground, facing a kind of landscape, reminding eg. Giorgione or Titian etc. But the whole composition plays with the ruptures, while preventing the image from bursting. A bit like an archaeologist who tried to reconstitute a vase, but using shards from various sources. These shards make me think the breaking of the vessels in the Kabbalah. In short, it is a badly assembled world, and a bloodthirsty creature whose head is separated from the body expresses this same failure of a successful mix. In the landscape, I also see the border that I crossed when I was 5 years old, from the sheltered world of childhood towards the children's home cruelty, it was located in another sector of occupied Germany , so unrelated to my home - in an Alpine landscape while I came from a country as flat as a pancake. And the shadows? To what do they refer? To my ghosts? Maybe to my childhood fears. For now, I have no other keys to access the contents of this picture. It continues to trouble and ask me to understand it better. And I think that memory stimulates imagination giving birth - from time to time – to an image summarizing a piece of my past.

A quoi me renvoient-ils ? A mes fantômes ?

Blog on art, centered on collage. It is meant as a sort of logbook of my creative work.
