Everyone sleeps in a space filled with bodies. Only loopholes: left where seems a door is tempting and upstairs where we see an opening to the sky. A woman also seems to pull the edges like a theater curtain. But she is the only one looking out. 5 large teeth cut image, probably a reference to hell, because it is often represented in this way in the Middle Ages. The Judgment also comes to mind, except that the falling of bodies has already taken place, we see the result. It is a world-prison, a total confinement. It's a nightmare where it might be sufficient to awaken to return to reality. But it is difficult to tear the grip of a dream and perhaps is it safer not to risk anything.

I have quite experienced in this and it is the upper opening which brought me a satisfactory solution, as it helps to lighten the mood by suggesting a way out as the door seems doomed because stuck among the bodies. However, as it is glazed, it may be forced, but this is a misleading result because everything converges upwards, so that's where the real opening is. What interests me here too, is to switch of a horizontal surface up to the vertical: the body of the upper half should logically be smaller than those of the bottom which is not the case here, but the prospective is indicated by the diagonals which logically meet in the female figure. This creates a tension and a distortion from straight lines to curved ones, suggesting a circular, hollow space. Does my rereading of Arnheim stimulate me?
