Today, horizontally in the dentist's chair and lying flat, I imagined death, being in a coffin. The hands on the side, still on the narrow recliner. Perhaps it came to me because of the situation: there is indeed always something sad when you must resolve to see the inexorable wear of teeth, one of the most solid part of our bodies.

So I made a Surrealist collage, a mix between Dali and Magritte and the film In Time (Time out). It is very simple as composition: From Dali head and arms, from Magritte the idea to combine the front view with the view from behind, the rest having been gleaned from a magazine.
What does he tell us, this collage? That it is difficult to work on time or our time of life. Scientists are still groping to understand the mechanism. However, the result is clearly visible - it is the dial.
Looking at it, I feel melancholy, perhaps because the figurative "classic" painting is now so far in the past that it seems to vanish (the head), and what becomes hyper visible is the label that is printed on our bodies.
During the making of this collage, I wanted to put an arm instead of a needle, but I definitely prefer the current arrangement, with the hands behind, groping desperately to repair the invisible mechanism.
